It is grateful that each school continues to promote music education to students and jointly cultivate outstanding talents for the development of music in Macau. He also said that we are currently going through difficult times, however music plays a very important role in difficult times. It encourages students to continue to use the words of hope and prosperity to create new songs to the public. In order to strengthen the promotion of the development of original music in Macau, MACA has added the “MACA New Original Music Award” for the third year. A total of 17 students competed for this award this year. After the selection by the council and professional music jury, 10 outstanding students in vocal or instrumental music creation were chosen to receive this award. Among the award-winning students, some young students with unique potential are more prominent. The youngest is only 12 years old. The judges believe that there is no distinction between ages and boundaries in music creation. In recent years, music creation level in Macau has been continuously improved and younger. The 10 students who won the “MACA New Original Music Award” this year are from Sacred Heart Canossian College Macau (English Section), Academia de Música S. Pio X, Colégio Mateus Ricci, Escola Estrela do Mar, Keang Peng School (Secondary Section), Colégio de Santa Rosa de Lima (SC), Escola Secundária Luso-Chinesa de Luís Gonzaga Gomes, Escola Tong Nam and Chan Sui Ki Perpetual Help College (names in no particular order). MACA expects that more students can sustain the development of music creation. To enjoy the award-winning music, 3 students performed their original works on stage, they are from Sacred Heart Canossian College Macau (English Section), Colégio Mateus Ricci and Academia de Música S. Pio X. MACA expects that more students will compete for the “MACA New Original Music Award” next year which will make the music scope more diversified.

In addition, schools were invited to participate in MACA activity, "Copyright Knowledge Macau School Campus Tour", so that more teachers and students learn how to protect intellectual property rights. In addition to pop-up stands and giving lectures, campus tour also provides lyrics or music composition classes. Following the Music Scholarship Award ceremony, this year will continue to hold a two-day "Studio Workshop", to arrange visits to the recording studio for all the award-winning students and school representatives. More than 40 teachers and students have already enrolled for the event and take this opportunity to let students walk into the workplace where musicians create and produce music, understand the production process of a piece of music, and experience the joy of music creation.
