This is the fifth year of “MACA Studio Workshop". The event strives to provide a different music production experience to teachers and students. MACA invited a full-time senior musician, composer, arranger and audio mixing engineer of Macau, Jason Chang, as the instructor. He introduced the entire process of recording of singers and the related skills of tuning and mixing the music after the song and lyrics are being composed. Teachers and students have many attempts in different music fields, give students a personal understanding of the complete production process of a song, and elaborate students' interest in music. In addition to the music knowledge learned in the classroom, this activity improves the music creation standard of teachers and students and encourages students towards the direction of music creation. During the activity, MACA also provided opportunities for students to try audio recording themselves. Teachers and students brought their own musical works or instruments to experience the recording process. Many students expressed that the activity was very interesting.

During the event, MACA has also set up a brief lecture on music copyright knowledge and mentioned the development prospects of music creation, the importance of respecting music creation and the ways to protect copyright etc. Following this event, MACA will launch more series of music creation activities, including, the second “MACA Pop Music Master Class” and “MACA Song Writers Quest”, for those interested in music to participate, more related activities can be found on MACA official website or Facebook fan page. In addition, if schools or organizations wish to participate in the "Studio Workshop”, they can also make an appointment or enquiry via email (info@maca.org.mo).
