ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

The Macau Association of Composers, Authors & Publishers (MACA) is managed by a board of ten (10) directors, eight (8) of which are composers and lyricists and two (2) of which are music publishers. The directors are elected by local members, and one of the directors is directly appointed with CISAC’s recommendation, which is to ensure that MACA is adhered to international practices and standards. The term for each director shall be two (2) years.

All course of action are decided by the board of MACA and implemented by locally employed manager and the staff. The intention is to keep the office and operations small and effective so that royalties collected are distributed back to local and foreign music creators and not consumed by operational expenses. MACA aims at keeping costs below 30% for its operation under the supervision of CISAC, which is also providing administrative, technical and other support to MACA.
